Altered toy locomotive

Hello everyone
It’s time for a new altered project. This time I’ve taken a toy locomotive and altered it. For this project I also made a step-by-step video that you can find down below.

I started by painted it with black gesso. After that, I added light paste through a stencil.

Then I added letter and number stickers and painted it all with black gesso again.

Next, was to add embellishments. I added pencils, paint brushes, cogs, clocks, flowers, keys, metal corners, wings, and other metal embellishments from my stash. Then I painted it all with black gesso.

After that, it was time to add color. I added Glimmer Mist and Lindy’s sprays in brown and blue colors.

Next, I enhanced the textures with Inka gold in copper and blue. Finally, I decorated with rhinestones.

Have a crafty day!
