Hello everyone.
It’s time for a new challenge over at We Love 2 Create, sponsored by Polkadoodles. This time, I’ve altered a whiskey box.
I started by painting the box and lid with white gesso. Then I painted it with purple acrylic paint together with my 2 year old daughter. Down below, you can find a little movie (with Swedish speech) with us painting it. When the paint was dry, I added some blue paint too with a spatula.
Then, I started to stamp flowers and butterflies from seven different stamp sets. You can find them all further down in this blog post. I stamped them all on watercolor paper. I then, colored them in with ink sprays with purple and blue colors. When they were dry, I cut them out with a scissor.
Next, I added blue and purple sewing thread to the box and started gluing the flowers and butterflies to the box. I also added some to the lid too. Finally, I decorated with blue rhinestones. I really love the combination with blue and purple. My favorite part is the result with the coloring of all the stamps. Or what do you think?
Have a crafty day!
