Card with See the Flowers stamp set

Hello everyone.
It’s time for a new challenge over at We Love 2 Create challenge blog. For that I made a card with two stamp set. Mostly I used the set called See the Flowers and I only used one stamp from Birds together stamp set.

First I stamped the glasses onto a watercolor paper. For that I used a waterproof stamp pad. I used both the big one and the smaller one. It’s a simple design, but becomes very interesting I believe.

Next, I started with color in the glasses with Distress Ink and a waterbrush. I used different shades of blue for that. The picture below shows the glasses with only one shade on them.

After that I added splats with Distress ink and water. You see, on the picture below the result with all the shades added to the glasses and with the splats. Splats has a very good result, it gives art that little extra.

Next, I stamped some stars that I embossed with silver embossing powder. I also added some edge stamping with a stamp from the stamp set called Birds together. I used it to frame the card and black is my main color to frame something because it gives contrast.

After that I added sentiments to the card. But the stamping didn’t get so great, so I enhanced it with a black pen. I also added some black splats too.

Finally, I attached it all to a brown card base. I always add it to a card base last, because it gives you a chance to make alterations to the card if you like to.

Well, that’s what I am sharing today. What do you think? I have a hard time to choose my favorite part, because they are all connected. I love it all!
