Art Journal page with Magical grasses stencil

Hello everyone. Welcome to a new challenge over at We Love 2 Create challenge blog. For this month I’ve created a simple art journal page.

I started by coloring in the page with ink sprays. Then I did some background stamping with a stamp from the vintage text stamp set. These stamps are some of my favorite stamps. You can use them to whatever art you make.

Next, it was time to test the new stencil I got from Polkadoodles. This one is called Magical grasses. I used black gesso, because my acrylic paint was out. I stenciled it at the bottom of the page several times.

Next, I wanted something at the top of the page. So I took a swirl from the Belle Papillon stamp set and thought I would stamp it to the page. But the result went bad on the watercolor paper. So then I added black gesso to the stamp and stamped it on the page. Wonderful! I love how the result went, by stamping with gesso. You just must try it! I stamped it several times at the top.

Then I let the page lay several days on my desk and thought about what more to add to the page. And finally, I decided it was enough. Sometimes, you just must keep it simple and clean. I hope you love it. Let me know what you think about it.

Have a crafty day!
