Hello everyone.
It’s time for a new challenge over at Polkadoodles We Love 2 Create. This time I’ve folded a box. Just this one is called a “Fold-over box”.
For this project, I used different kind of papers and stamps. Three of each, in fact. I started to fold the base, which is made out of black card stock. I used one piece measured 10″x10″ and two pieces of 6″x9″. The two pieces of 6″x9″ I scored at 3″ horizontally and then glued them together. I also cut out a window in a size of my choice. Above the window I also attached a piece of acetate. The 10″x10″ piece, I scored at 3″ on all sides, then I cut with the score lines until I got to the intersection. Then I folded and glued it to a box.
Next, I decorated the box and the other piece with patterned papers. For the box, I used Starfish & Sandcastles and Mermazing Ocean. To the other piece, I decorated with the Bright & Beautiful paper pack. When that was done, I glued the box to the other piece.
Around the box, I also decorated with art stones and micro beads. To the front I stamped flowers from Adorable Florals, Wild Garden and Fly with me stamp set. I colored them with Copics and cut them out. I adhered them to the front around the window. Then I decorated with sewing thread and stones that you use in flower pots. I also added dots of stickles to the window.
I also made a closure to the box with a string and button. My favorite part of the box is the window where you can see the fishes from the patterned paper I used in the box. It looks like they are swimming there!
Have a crafty day!
