Art Journal with Winnie Wednesday Bat girl

Hi, for this month challenge a We Love 2 Create I’ve created a Halloween art journal page for you.

We Love to Create mixed media Challenge Blog...sponsored by Polkadoodles

I started by coloring in the Bat Girl from the Winnie Wednesday collection with Copics alcohol markers and then cut her out. Then I started to make the background for my page. I colored it in with watercolors. I added brown, and orange and black. I colored it with several layers. I also used the grass lawn stencil with black Distress ink.

Then I adhered the Bat girl to the page. And then, I remember, I got some spider web decorations left from last year. So I added it all around the page. I really loved that embellishment. Next, I printed out some pre-colored bats from the Witchie Witchie 2013 bundle and cut them out. I wrinkled their wings, and then attached them to the page. I also added a title from the Halloween Trick or Treat sentiment printables in one of the corners. The final touch, was to add black stones at the bottom of the page. I let them get wired in by the spider web and I really love the result.

My absolutely favorite part of this art journal page is the spider web, but what do you think?

Have a crafty day!
